Ferry to Golfo Aranci

At present the only ferry to Golfo Aranci available, is from Livorno (Leghorn).

You have a choice of whether travelling in the day or an overnight crossing.

The advantage of this crossing is that it is fairly short:

• the day time voyage is about 6h 30m (leaves at 8.00am)

• while the night time voyage is 8h 00m. (leaves at 23.125pm)

Looking for a cheaper ferry ticket to the Island, then go for the day time journey.

• One – The day time trip is slightly cheaper than the night time one.

• Second -  travelling during the day without a cabin is far easier and will bring the budget down

An alternative ferry crossing from Livorno would be to Olbia or even from Genova, obviously depending where you are travelling from.

The distance between Golfo Aranci and Olbia is only about 20km a 20 minute drive.

The last time I used this ferry crossing I was about 25 years ago,  travelling back to the UK in truck.

It was a day time crossings for freight only.

From what I can remember it was a voyage  was nothing really special, it was a means to an end as I was taking advantage of a lift from Sardinia to England with my uncle.
